Stella Alpina is our second shaving soap based on the Beta 4.2 Formulation.

Similarly to its predecessor, the Cosmo shaving soap, Stella Alpina is featured by a fantastic post-shave effect. By adding the Edelweiss Extract (Leontopodium Alpinum) and Hazelnut Oil (Corylus Avellana), together with a new balancing of the other ingredients, we improved its overall performances during the shave.

I will add this soap to my SV collection pretty soon.

Got the mahogany for my black Dolomitti, so might go for the ash SV bowl for this new soap.

I'm happy for the new scent, almost decided to take the plunge... until I notice that it does not come in those high quality tin like the 70th Anniversary or Cosmo. Honestly speaking, the beautiful tin is what attract me to SV and make me use my hard earned on this relatively expensive soap.

Without a doubt, this is a top tier performer, very tough not to put this on anyone top 10 list if they have experience using any SV soap.

Maybe one day, I will get one. For now I will wait out, hopefully there is a tin version.

Congrats SV team.!!

I only have one SV bowl , I will wait to finish the soap before getting Stella Alpina.

Very sad the soaps are not offered with tin or cheap plastic jar .

The Edelweiss plant is  very rare , protected in many countries and it is illegal to pick off even one plant . I'm very curious to know from SV the origin of their EXTRACT of this beautiful flower ?

Guys, I bought the Dolomitti Black limited edition (alrady own the regular Dolomitti, in fact I own all SP soaps in wooden bowls + Como in black and 70.th in silver)

Got it with the SV mahogany wooden bowl, and it looks great.

I intend to get this new soap with the SV ash wooden bowl, which also looks awesome - presentation does not come much better than this:

It's an extract from the organically cultivated Swiss Alpine plant Edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum Cass.) for cosmetic application and certified organic by ECOCERT, COSMOS, and NATRUE.

Smile ...... no.... the fragrance has been designed with the purpose of reproducing the Alpine environment sensation, where edelweiss grows.

Guys,
I am a fan of this house and I've tried the entire line up made by SV
To date, Some SV soaps I really liked and some I didn't care much for .

Stella alpina:

Lather:
The soap used beta 4.2. The soap is little thirsty and I noticed slight improvement over Cosmo 4.2. Meaning , the lather is easy to make. I always bloom the puck of SV soaps so it helped loosen up the fibers.I used Simpson CH3 and had no issues with the lather. The slickness has been improved slightly and the razor glide perfectly.

Rating : 5/5

Scent:
I am very selective when it comes to scent . I like my soaps potent mid to high strength . Stella didn't disappoint at all. I am not good in describing scents but The easiest way to put is fresh, clean and potent. After the shave I was sniffing my hand and get whiffs of the scent !! Absolutely love it !!!!

Rating : 5/5

Post shave :
I've used all SV soaps and I can tell you one thing that SV team is continue to improve post shave and quest for the perfect post shave . I have seen the improvement from felce to Stella. The biggest improvements came in beta 4.2/cosmo. Stella post shave didn't disappoint . After the shave , My face felt hydrated and didn't need AS but I used it any ways . I don't see a dramatic changes in post shave but it has been improved compare to cosmo. Maybe due to hazelnut oil or some other secret ingredient.

Conclusion:
I really liked the soap and I am hoping that some of you will give this soap a try . It's truly a "gem"
If I have to live with one soap for the rest of my life this could be one :-)
