Hello Gents,

I received the beauty below yesterday and wanted to share my impressions of it with you all.

First off I wanted to thank Mark Watterson for his incredible service, assistance and patience...He took the time to answer all my questions and guide me in purchasing this beauty...He, along with the entire Simpsons team is the reason I own and will continue to purchase many more brushes from this fine organization.

Now the nitty gritty...I used the Manchurian beauty this morning and in short, the brush is FANTASTIC!...I have and love the Classic 1 in BEST but there indeed is a difference with the Manchurian hair...The strands seem to be thicker and with more backbone but maintain soft, slightly scrubby tips...just the way I like it. Another difference I noticed is that the Manchurian version does not bloom as much as the BEST, hopefully it dries quicker too as this one will replace the BEST as one of my travel brushes.

The Classic is the most beautiful brush offered by Simpson's (IMHO).
That one, with the Manchurian Badger looks stunning, but the ones that I have seen with super badger two band and best badger, the same.I wonder if there is a super badger 3 band Classic,or maybe I should think think about getting one...
Thanks a lot for sharing with us your new brush and looking forward to read what you think of it.

Thank you gents for the congratulatory remarks...I happen to agree with Teiste...The Classic is one of the best series that Simpsons offers in my humble opinion. The performance of these compact sized, "minnie Chubbies" are remarkable and quite versatile...They're outstanding for face latherers like myself but can also whip up a great lather in the bowl. They "tear up" a puck of soap with ease while still at home with creams.

I absolutely love this brush with BEST Badger (still own one) but I can see that the love affair with my new Manchurian version will be one of many, many years to come. As Ferris Bueller once said, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up" Cool

Hi Greg

That's a beautiful looking brush Thumbsup

Do you have a post bloom photo to share?

Also, what are the dimensions of your "Classic 1" brush?

Take care, Mike

That looks fantastic. There are a few brushes I need to round off my Simpson flock, it's a classic and a polo.

Does anyone know what a classic 1 is like compared to a classic 2? Is there a noticeable difference?

Reminds me what a Chubby 0 might look like. Congrats. Great brush for home and of course travel. Simpson Manchurian hits the sweet spot. All the attributes of Rooney Finest with a softer feel and just really great badger hair.

The Simpsons website lists the dims of the brush with a 22mm Knot and a 43mm loft...Thank you all for the "shout outs" I'm very happy with this brush...almost giddy...I felt the same when I began adding the Chubbies to my den.

I think the size difference between the Classic 1 and 2 is negligible. I know the Classic 1 fits in the travel tube. Not sure about the Classic 2.

Beautiful Manchurian.

Beautiful brush, this would likely be my first Manchurian if I could manage to save up enough! Great to see more photos of it.
