shavemac 2 Band silvertips have been generally great knots with soft tips and good backbone. I have incurred though quite some batch variations leading me to sell about have of the knots/brushes as they were less to my liking.  I kept two: one stock fan (24/50mm) and one fan knot (26/51mm) in a handle by Bob Quinn (excellent work).

I was still looking for a bulb in a pleasing handle with a great knot. I think I found it. Smile

Latest shavemac below: 26/54mm Bulb in brown/black barber style handle. Looks and feels like a keeper.

Great looking bulb. Since Bernd added the barber style handle as a regular custom offering, I've been contemplating getting one.

Yes. You can select as part of Expert Select. This barber style handle proportions are actually much nicer than the previous (other) forum group buy.

That is a fine looking knot. I'm uncertain if a barber style handle would resonate with me though.

Actually now that you mention it, I think the sharp ridge center on the brush would feel uncomfortable on my fingers.

Agreed, and now that I know that, I too am contemplating it!

A really beautiful brush, congrats and enjoy!

Anyone concerned about the rather big ring around the mid part of the handle ?

Is it super comfortable to hold, if you have large hands ?

It looks like it would scrape into the fingers a bit with that particular design........

The Barber handle is very comfortable for my medium large hands. No problem with the ring.

Only barber handle that I could not deal with was original B&B "Chief" group buy. That had a truly sharp edge.

Used the shavemac today: excellent knot and perfect handle design!

Yes Georg, very much agreed about the B&B Chief. Ken has since toned down that beltline. I own a TSR Shavemac Barber and it is large, but not uncomfortable.

Jeff, the TSR barber handle (beige/brown) has different proportions. The latest iteration is not as wide and has a taller waist - much nicer and easier to hold --- YMMV
