I know there are two good brands Nivea and Proraso. Which aftershave balm of these brands is better? I have a normal skin type, not too oily, not too dry. I didn't find full information here, so I am waiting for your opinion.

I don't know about the Porasso, but Nivea Sensitive Skin Balm is awesome.  Honestly, it is better then stuff for $50.  I got my last bottle on sale at the grocery store for $3.50.  Steel.

To me the Proraso is much better than the Nivea. I currently have the Blue and Green Proraso (Both are currently on sale at Italian Barber for $9.99). The Nivea is good, I have the unscented which you can get at any Target store for around $5 but to me the Proraso Balms just seem to be a better product. There are others out there that are very good though, some in my rotation are:

Sapone di Paolo (One of the BEST balms out there IMHO)
iColoniali Mango Balm (Hands down the Best I have used)
Mazorin Ockham's Razor Balm
Myrsol Emulsion

Is it just me or does Nivea Sensitive balm bear some resemblance to T&H 1805 ?

Lately I have been trying to get balms that are the same scent and the soap and aftershave I choose for the day, some balms are just not made so then I just do my best to match a scent, i find most balms work well but some are heavy and some are light so you just have to control how much you use .

Agreed. I also like Soap Commander. Hard to go wrong with either.

CRSW, incredible stuff. The most comprehensive, natural selection of ingredients I have come across in a balm/lotion. Light, non-greasy, effective plus botanical and extract rich.

My opinion Nivea is great stuff. I have used both the original and sensitive one. I shave mostly at night so the sent on both are great and not over powering. With that said you can also wear it over most splashes and it doesn't change the smell. Just my two cents.

I would give the edge to Proraso aftershave balm, however Nivea is quite nice and is absorbed relatively quickly.  Proraso is a bit richer or more dense.

As a suggestion, I would consider visiting Em's website and checkout her selection of her own balms.  I always have her unscented balm on hand.

I think Nivea is awesome stuff, and easy to get at any store (in my area at least). I haven't used any other balm I like more, although I haven't tried every balm mentioned above.

I have Neutrogena that I prefer over Nivea.
