I JUST discovered this razor (thanks to spidey9) and I can't find much info on it when I do a search here other than a few for sale threads.

What handles have you guys tried on the head? Any pics?  Also, will the razor ever be offered in a polished version?  I like the satin look but I don't have any handles that would match it.  I need one of these!

I'd be open to a comparison to the cobra classic/king cobra if someone can give me one too.

I read the thread, I don't see any with other handles nor had read anything about a polished version.

The ones I tried so far:
Good: Elite Razor, Blackbird, Tradere, Stork Titanium, Timeless

Does not work: ATT (not deep enough)

The one on the lower right is beautiful. Looks great with the RX head.

Nice! Some of them look very at home on there too.  I've got one of those ikon bulldog handles, I wonder if that would work and how it would look.

Personally, I think this razor looks best with the original handle.  I see the handle as an integral part of the design, and find that any other handle breaks the razor's lines.

Amen to that.

Each razor has a unique design. If you switch handles, you also change the balance of the razor. I really don't see a reason to do that.

I've been enjoying the original handle, and don't have other handles to try with it. All of these handles look great, but the one from Elite makes the razor look elegant.

While I will never say never, there are no plans for a polished version.

Well, I'll be first in line if you ever do, however, I'm looking forward to giving the current one a try.

Most of the razors that I use a lot sport custom handles. I even like different handles on vintage razors such as the Gem 1912 and Ever-Ready 1924.

That being said, it is obvious to me that a great deal of thought went into the design of the handle of the Asylum Rx. I experimented with different handles and concluded that the best one for this razor is . . . . the one that came with it.

It is styled to nicely complement the head, perfectly balanced and feels great in the hand.

Must . . . Have . . . More . . . Razors

^ +1 Bob!
I also feel the original handle is perfect for this razor. The shape fits the head design perfectly for me, and feels great in my hand too. I'm not even tempted to try another handle!

I'm very happy with this razor.

I agree but I just wanted to know what handles fitted and took pictures for ShaneN. I use the standard Rx handle myself.

I like the handle as it was designed for the head.

the designed handle looks best and compliments the razor, other handles just take away from the overall look.
