Hey everyone!

I am certainly failing in the aftershave department.

What I'm looking for is a super cooling aftershave. Any recommendations from the aftershave pros out there?

I know a few such the Fine Snake Bite, but I haven't tried it, so I can't comment on that.

My recommendation would be the Floid Mentolado Vigoroso. Very nice cooling effect that lasts and a long-lasting scent too. I like it so much that I also have a backup.

Chiseled face cryogen & fine snake bite will both do the trick.

Some here like to mix Osage Rub and Menen's Skin Bracer.

Any aftershave containing menthol will do it.  My favourites are Aqua Velva Original, Aqua Velva Sport, Alt Insbruck and Myrsol

Mechanical cool, psychosomatic cool or smelling cool? All aftershaves will perform alike for the first. The second is you and the third how strange dogs and married women react.

I'm thinking in sensory terms. Which aftershave will have the best sensory cooling properties.

Alt Innsbruk, the initial menthol blast delivers an ice cream headache and petit mal seizure. Then you have a very interesting tobacco flower cool down, or is it warm up?

+1 on Alt Innsbruck. Superb feel on the skin too.

Other could be Floid blue.

Barrister & Mann Barrister's Reserve 'Cool' is nice. It has a nice mild cooling effect, nothing over the top.

For super cooling, Barrister & Mann has 'Arctique'. It's a seasonal during summer, so it may take a little searching or making a 'Want To Buy' post. That one is COLD, with a nice mild peppermint and peppercorn scent. They also offer 'Rhapsody' that is cooling. That's another seasonal during Spring.

Chiseled Face offers 'Cryogen', that's their no frills MENTHOL blaster. The matching soap is colder than the splash.

So many options! I went with snake bite and chiseled face aftershave cryogen. Once I run out of my captains I'll get into the alt Innsbruk.

Thanks for the options everyone!

Krampert's Frostbite has a good rep here (I haven't tried it myself).

Lúcido from Japan has a moderate dose of menthol. It's nice.

You should try Alcolado Glacial menthol aftershave - if you fancy a balm instead of a splash Vifrex dopo barba is a great product. Both very cooling.

I had a number of people recommend Myrsol Emulsion to me. Very glad that I took their advice and got some! It has super cooling properties.

I wish chiseled face still made orange creamsicle. It isn't as cold as cryogen, but still frigid with a great orange scent.

Original Aqua Velva does the trick.  For a balm Soap Commander Vision has quite the menthol kick.  And aftershaves I hear a lot of good things about Cryogen and Fine Snake bite.

Such a wonderful product. Pleasant level of coolness, nice subtle scent, great face feel. Pricey but worth it.
