I just read this and had no idea.  I know this is a polarizing soap BUT I am pretty excited.  I love the two current offerings and these two go live tomorrow from what I've read.

The basic soap base has what is to me a burned rubber or tar scent...I cannot imagine what that would smell like when mixed with vetiver. I'll pass.

My statement was meant to be sarcastic. I will be placing my order tomorrow...

My statement wasn't. Biggrin  YMMV. That said, it has been years since I have tried MDC -perhaps the background scent has changed.

With all these new soaps coming out and artisan making different scents, its very difficult to control the SAD.

Fantastic news! It's about time they venture into something different. LOVE both current scents. I find fougere heavenly, such a pleasant scent. Could use it everyday and not get sick of it... when I started wetshaving I used the original exclusively for 5 month on a daily basis...
not a big vetiver fan but looking forward to the Rose given my preference to MDC scents in general..

I kind of see, what you get Phil.

I agree the base of the soaps so have that special background scent, kind of dark tar scented.....now for the disturbing part: I actually enjoy this scent  Blush Angel

Surely the MDC Vetiver will be a very earthy dark scented soap, not for the faint hearted.
I'm ordering both MDC's soon.

I am no expert in French but the lids indicate "serie limitee" can i safely assume that this means it will be a limited run?!

For now I would guess yes, but if I remember correctly that's how the Fougère started as well. My guess is that they will gauge sales and that will determine if they will stick or not.

That makes a lot of sense... let's see what happens. If they offer nothing but Fougere I am happy so I won't complain

I will consider if they can make vetiver and rose scent better than Jabonman which is very unlikely !!

If someone orders the vetiver and is willing to share a sample or do a split, please PM me. I'm not willing to order a whole jar right now.

Thanks
