Unfortunately for me there's a state of war between Israel and Syria so being an Israeli I'm forbidden to travel to Syria. I often ask myself "Why can't our two countries make peace once and for all?" It's so sad when politics have to get in the way of everything, including wetshaving because this is a delightful cream which is number one in Syria. Oh, the cream's name is HAMOL.

Ease of lathering: 10/10--A small dab on the chin is more than enough for awesome lather.

Longevity of lather: 10/10--As stable as you could want. Multi-pass shaves are no problem.

General skincare: 9/10--VERY moisturizing, protective, and soothing with a good menthol effect.

Scent: 9/10--Very clean, and traditional. Minty/lemony notes.

Price: N/A--I received this tube from a good friend of mine. I imagine it's reasonably-priced, though.

Would I buy again: 10/10--Absolutely, if I was able to because it's one of the BEST creams I ever used.

I remember reading about Gada, a line of Lebanese creams that's pretty readily available in Montreal.
I hunted for it in New York -- unsuccessfully, even though I have a sizable strip of Middle Eastern stores near me.

This one is a new name to me.

I've read that the Hamol has a similar menthol strength as the Gada Cool Mint.

Interesting that you're aware of this cream, and unfortunate that we can't try it.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Agreed. This sounds very interesting, hopefully we get to try it too. I remember when I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of Biotique. It feels great to find gems like these.

Btw, I hear you bro. Be well and enjoy the shaves. Smile

Reminds me of when I went to an Indian supermarket in Arizona and asked about Godrej. The shop owner said "That's a name I haven't heard in a long time."

That's a good commercial. Simple and uncluttered but gets the message across. I like it.
