Anyone have any experience with HIBCO's soaps?  Any feedback would be great.  Their HIBCO Venom DE razor is a pretty damn good tool if you ask me, and their restoration services are top notch, but I have no experience with their soaps... ;-)

Does the lack of replies mean nobody's tried their soaps?

I own a Hibco replate of an old ER 19somethingorother. Don't recall now if it's a 1912 or 1914. They did a real nice job on that one. It's one of my favorite knurl patterns.

I'm thinking the same thing... too bad.  Maybe I'll have to be the guinea pig and order a couple of tins and give a review.  Their HIBCO 'Venom' razor is right up there with my IKONs and my Joris Plisson OC and my Barbaros TR-1.. it's a great tool.

The ingredient list does not look overly promising...
Coconut oil, Safflower oil, Palm oil, Glycerin, Water, Sodium hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan oleate, Oat protein, Wheat protein, Colloidal oatmeal, Bentonite clay, Fragrance

Jesse, what ingredient(s) in particular kinda set you off on the negative side?  Just curious.  I am assuming maybe the Sodium Hydroxide?

Yeah. I would have to say out of all of the companies that offer refurbishing/replating services, HIBCO is in the top 2

They will most likely be the first place I go to when I do my replate. Everyone is raising their prices.
