Sweet! Let us know how it performs. If you can liken it, or compare it with another razor, that would be helpful as well.

Nice razor. Those tabs are in a similar position to the dots on the ATT razors. It's interesting how manufacturers are starting to come up with different styles of tabs to secure and align the blade.

Compressed layers of birch bark. A highly traditional northern European (especially Scandinavian) material for knife handles, often seen for example on Finnish puukko hunting knives. It gives a secure grip even when wet and is a surprisingly warm handle material even in subzero weather. A grip made out of stacked, compressed rings of leather has much the same feel as the compressed birchbark grip, except the leather is less waterproof and rot resistant than the bark.

I think the birchbark is an excellent choice for a razor handle and one that can easily last for decades.

Also known as "never" or "bjørkenever"; the material is waterproof, rot-resistant, and allegedly have anti-fungal properties.

Makes a nice handle too Biggrin

Hi all!
Shaved once.
First impressions:
- handle is made of birch bark, tactilely pleasant, non-slip;
- blade is inserted into the head tightly, the aggressiveness of my feeling is about 2.5 to 3;
- non of holes in the head does not interfere with shaving and removal of lather.
