What scent would you like to see made into a shave cream/soap?
Please only give one-note and it should be a naturally occurring scent (basically, thinking of an essential oil is a good place to start)

To be clear- No cologne scents and no mixing notes. Just one note per product.

To start things off, I would say Fresh Rosemary Sprig.
Usually Rosemary scents are mixed with something else and makes it too minty/menthol smelling, which really isn't like real fresh rosemary. So this is my first one. What about you?

Magnolia flower( magnolia grandiflora)

Anyone who has smelled this flower, at least once, knows what I'm talking about. Divine scent.

And this is the tree. We have two of them.

You just said "What scent would you like to see made into a shave cream/soap?" There was no mention of such scents being unavailable on the market.

Right. The words "would you like" imply they aren't made. It didn't say "do you like".

Not trying to start an argument. I think you did that intentionally, cutely.

Just so we are clear going forward. ORIGINAL. Smile

Orange. Anything orange will at least make me consider buying even when I say no more soap.

Good stuff, Nick!
I bought a magnolia perfume by AdP for someone last year, and it was very nice. I can't remember the exact name, but the scent was beautiful.

Interesting! Were you thinking the pine nut? Or the wood? Needles/leaves?

I agree that Orange is rare.
(Lime and bergamot, which are definitely great scents, are a bit overdone.)

Lemon is also rare. It's always paired with something else. The only Lemon scented soap I've heard of is the now discontinued tallow AoS.

Basil would be great too.

Richard, have you smelled DRH Almond soap (very different scent from the cream which actually does have the almond/marzipan scent)?
The soap is a vanilla/creamy type scent, as I just mentioned in a different thread.

I'd like this too if not done too strongly bc it could get overwhelmingly sweet fast, IMO.

I love your OCD, Matt, because you are right in your argument, but you are picking and weighing the words like only a guy with OCD would do.
It takes one to know one, right  Wink
