Has anybody tried Bay of Roses by Van Yulay?  I've had my eye on this, seems like an interesting update on the classic bay rum scent.

I love bR but with no clove in it! the first one I tried and sold was HTGAM, but the sent was too strong! I bought an unscented version and 3 CaDs; one of which will be arriving in the next few days from the UK!
Uncle Jon told me there is no clove in his soaps, I wish I could make a try soon!

Mystic Waters and Strop Shoppe Bay Rums do not have clove.  And both are terrific.

Last update on this thread is almost 10 months old. I recently have acquired Kramfert's Bay Rum AS and simply missed their matching soap.Am now looking for a matching shave soap please.

Lot of Gents have recommended Mystic Waters Bay Rum. Any other worthy contenders please?

Phoenix & Beau Imperial Rum is spot-on for Krampert's Bay Rum soap.

Love Mystic Water Bay Rum because its NOT clove riddled.

I can tolerate the small amount of clove in Soapy Sudsery Citrus & Bay. Performance is amazing.

I've tried three, and based on scent I'd say the order are:
Barrister & Mann (2013 edition)
Taconic
Captains Choice

And that is mostly because I am not a huge rum fan, so I prefer the spice part of it. For performance, I'd swap Taconic & Captains for 2nd and 3rd. Side note: Taconic did better for what looks like a melt & pour than I expected.

I love bay rum & have tried a number of them. Captain's Choice is my overall favorite for performance. I do love the smell of clove, so Ogallala is my favorite scent. Too bad it's only an average performer.

Bay rum really isn't my thing, but having said that, I absolutely love the scent of B&M Bay Rum. Its just such a rich, deep, complex scent....I think they really did a great job with it. Its the only bay rum that I keep around.
