Need input on this razor. Is it worth the 99$? I might jump on one.

Haha. $99, it's worth $199.  I had others (hd34c, ej) and sold them once I got the Rockwell.  It is very good.

Really good razor I'm sure you will find a plate that suits you very well. The only negative I have is the weight it's a heavy weight.

I haven't found a better razor. I can get bbs with plates 2-6. The shaves leave me with no irritation either. Still trying to figure out plate 1. The razor is heavy which is awesome for me because I just let gravity do it's job; no pressure.

I've tried a bunch of vintage DE razors, and a few modern razors - and I haven't found anything to equal the 6S.

For me, the biggest selling point is your ability to choose from a variety of plates, from mild to aggressive. If you don't have much beard, you might choose plate #2; depending on your blade or needs, you can choose your best plate. The 6S is like having six different razors in one - which is instructive, and fun. The razor is engineered to be easy to shave with.

You bet. It's the best in my den, only rivaled by the Blackbird.

I have been exclusively using it for the last 4 weeks. Still exploring blades with it but I love it.

It's one of the few modern razors that have tempted me.  Cool

As others here have said, it's an excellent razor.  If you're looking for something less expensive and can wait a few more months the 6C (chrome vs. stainless steel) is slated for 2017.

I've got a chrome one coming from kickstart early in January. I can let you know what I think and if I don't like it I will sell it to you.

I like the Rockwell 6s, gives a great shave. I usually use plate 3. The only razor I like better is the Stainless Timeless razor, but those are two different price points.

This is the biggest problem with the 6s for me. It's made many of my other razors unusable.. lol.

Enjoy. Can't wait for the Model T, not sure Mantic liked it very much so I'm still on the fence but if it shaves like the 6s, it's definitely another one on my wishlist.

Yup.  It's the best I've used, both new and vintage.  I sold my other five razors.  Having said that, I have a 6T on order.  LOL.  Not sure why.  I'm totally happy with the 6S.  I only change plates occasionally when using a different blade.  I use plate 4 with Astra's.  Plate 2 with Feather's.  The 6S just works.

The 6S was my favorite DE. A 6C just arrived and made me forget it. That's all I can say.
