No stand. Just the razor and 2 packs of blades.

Being that is a titanium based coating I wouldn't think it would . Makers have used this coating on knives for a little while now based off of how durable the finish is. I have never seen or heard of this type of coating taken on any kind of patina although it would be nice if it did .

As I started to consider buying one of these, I decided to take my Black Mamba out for a spin today using a Voskhod blade. I had not used it in about 3 months because of so many other SE and DE purchases. Great shave today and I still might get the cocoa version of the Oristo if people keep telling me that it is an improved version of the Mamba. I always thought it would be very difficult to improve on that design but I do like that cocoa color. Anyway, here's my SOTD and it was a beauty!! The Black Mamba is still one of the best DE razors ever made!

Don't know the blade gap but the length of the handle is 3.5"

Its too bad that they have priced them considerably higher than Joe priced the Mamba.  I'm not sure if they are going to get the traction they need to stay afloat.

The handle is not all that appealing to me.

Seems like the economy of scale would have lowered the price.

Oh well.

Sounds like a good razor.

The prices on their web site are Canadian.  I believe the Stainless Version is $20 (USD) more than the Black Mamba.  They use 316 steel. (The Black Mamba head was in 304 steel, if I remember correctly).

I always wanted to try the black mamba, but as noted, it is always out of stock.  The machining looks beautiful.  I will need to keep an eye on this one.

I was curious if the rumors of a re-release of the Black Mamba were true so asked Italian Barber to comment. He has confirmed that they are and is hoping they will go on sale in six to eight weeks, not sure yet if black or natural. I hope the Oristo's traction is more solid by then, but for those of us who missed the original BM release, this is good news.

I hope there would be enough stocks for everyone who wants one. Seeing his razors on eBay at ridiculous prices is unfortunate.
