I'm getting ready for a year sabbatical after spending too much money this year on shave related goods.  I have two days left before it begins.  If you could only buy 1 soap for the next year what would it be?  Also, would love it if the soap had a matching aftershave to go with it.  THANKS!!!

Saponificio Varesino Stella Alpina. Excellent scent, performance, and matching aftershave. Plus it should easily last a long time since it's triple milled.

Mickey Lee Soapworks Jurate with matching aftershave. I'm in love with this, it just hits all the right scent notes and the performance of their new base is fantastic.

Czech & Speake no. 88. Might as well go out with a bang! I was really apprehensive spending this much on a soap but I'm glad I did. This stuff is awesome.

Paladin Shaving soap, in Natchez Trace, Tobacco Road, or Silk Road.  Truly superb scents.

Also, Shannon's Soaps new Forest City Fern.  A lovely interpretation of a Fougere.

Many good choices mentioned above but I would personally choose C&S Oxford & Cambridge with matching aftershave.

I don't yet have any soaps with matching aftershaves (although I have a pair en route). If I were you, I would go with Nuavia Rosso and Pashana, which pair well. And Nuavia is still the best soap I've used. And Rosso is the best soap scent I've tried. And Pashana is special stuff. The oudish vibe of Rosso works wonders with the patchouli thing in Pashana.

This is an intriguing suggestion. I have both, but have not yet paired them. Tomorrow!
