What's some of the best vegan soaps out? I've only tried soap commander and paa but they don't really impress me. Thanks in advance for the help.

LASSC performs as well as my top tallow-based soaps. It's the best vegan soap that I have used.

MdC is also very well regarded, although I find it to be a drying soap.

I think there is a multi-page thread on this on this forum with a lot of good information, but off the cuff, LASSC is on par with any tallow based soap that I've used. (And I've used a lot of them. )

Saponificio Varesino is the vegan soap king, IMHO. Especially formula 4.1 and older. Amazing scents too.

Saponificio Varesino 4.2 and I Coloniali (mango seed oil soap)

Disclaimer: I am going to use Oliva again for the first time in a long time and might add that soon.

I really wish that going forward in production that new pucks of Dolomiti and Felce Aromatica would be in the 4.2 base instead of 4.0 base.

To those that mentioned LASSC soaps, I agree and would also add Brutalt Bra. There's a lot to be said about less (ingredients).

As basically a tallow-guy, I can recommend Saponificio Varesino (SV) as the best non-tallow soap I ever tried.  Personally, I believe those soaps you referred to in your post are the 'French" style soaps.  That means essentially saponified stearic acid and coconut oil, which was made popular by MdC and a few others.  SV has a more complex formula that IMHO is required to capture the excellent qualities of tallow soaps.  I think you will be pleased if you try SV.  I have used Manna di Sicilia, but have additional scents on order.

I love Van Der Hagen Luxury soap. I can get it to make lather as good as anything else including many of the big name tallow soaps. It is a top performer.

Any Saponificio Varesino is very good. Also klar Seifen & Sapone Di Paolo & Le Pere Lucien should keep you pretty happy. Good luck.

MDC for me. Hydrate it really well and it's superb, if not it will be drying. Lasts forever.
