I made the mistake of visiting Bob Quinn's Elite Razor web-site just to see what was new. I really didn't want another brush, and certainly didn't need one. As soon as I saw this one in Amboyna Burl, I had to have it. I have also been seeing a lot of very positive feedback on Bob's new knots. I had him put one of his Manchurian Whites in this one: 24mmx50mm. It is on deck for Friday............
Cleaned and bloomed.

Good looking brush, beauty of a knot. I'd like to hear your feedback on how dense it is and whether it splays easily or not. Curious how Elite Manchurian compares to Envy White. Best of luck with it.

Ron, I have experience with both Envy White and Bob Quinn's Manchurian White knots.  In my opinion, Bob''s Manchurian White is the better knot.  The Manchurian White has softer tips than the Envy White, while still maitaining sufficient backbone and scrub due to its density.

Bob, that's a beauty! I'm also the proud caretaker of a Bob Quinn Lotus. Mine's made with lignum vitae. How heavy is your brush? Substantial, I bet... enjoy your shaves Smile

Please post a picture.

I regret that I didn't pick up a lignum vitae handle from him when he had a couple available.

I have the pics on my iPad and iPhone but iOS upgrades have messed with my functionality. I'll try to get it done from the laptop Friday after work.

Lotus is a buckeye/resin combo & has the 24mm Manchurian White 52mm loft
Crimson Swirl has the standard 3band

Sorry buddy!! My trigger finger is too quick for my own good!!
I had been on the hunt for a handle like that since seeing Ken Surfs video when he unboxed his Marmorite Shavemac. I like it a lot.

Unless you want even more brushes, then whatever you do, don't put that knot to your face! Bob's 2-band Manchurian knots are so sublime that you won't be able to stop with one. In fact, I care for your wellbeing so much that you should just mail it to me right away, so your wallet doesn't suffer.

I used the new brush and knot today. I have to say, all the rave reviews about Bob Quinn’s new knots are spot on. His Manchurian White may be the best balance of soft tips with just enough backbone to handle anything that I have tried. I also like the handle design. It is great for my hand.
