I've had this Vintage razor sometime it's always been a lovely shaver, she came with the original scales which were a butter scotch celluloid nothing to write home about, so I order a nice sheet of blonde horn, well i've finally finished, I also made the wedge from the horn, then doubled up on the back washers but left the pivot as a single washer on the front, it seemed to give the overall look a better balance to the razor.

Thank you Men for your kind words, there's something quite specail about natural materials such as horn wood bone and ivory when you get it right. I suppose a few of you guys saw a interesting post over on the straight razor place regarding wooden scales, if not I would say it's worth having a look, I would also like to tell you about a member over on the UK forum TSR his user name is Old blade grinder, and he's getting on a bit and he worked for Taylors of sheffield as a straight razor grinder back in the day, and he's a mine of really great information, would be good to have him tell a few stories about his work over here. PS i doubt you would find another straight razor grinder from those times.

Jamie.
