recently acquired brand new but I am not sure which version I have. Is there a way to tell?

If there is a one on the back of the handle it's a version 1. If there isn't anything on the back it's a version 2.

I wasn't aware of this. I didn't think that was a number one indicating the version, but rather their logo.

Mine says OB-00239...also has a B and the back of the handle does have what appears to be a 1.

That's a pretty low serial # Harvey. Mine is in the 1600s.

That's an early serial number. It should be be a v1

Don,t know how to post pictures but the B is just stamped next to the screw and there is also a stamped symbol next to the other screw...can,t make it out however.

Interesting, I just inspected my V2 and see the B stamp. It is very tiny. My sn is OB-09782

There is a difference. The v1 is great, but the v2 is a bit better. Ymmv
