Good Morning Gents,

Just wanted to give my 2 cents worth about this very, very good shave cream.

I received a tin of the cream along with my brand new Simpsons Classic 1 Manchurian brush (the reviews and pics in another post)Love ...First thing I noticed is that this is a nice, shiny, somewhat firm cream with a clean, soapy scent (although it says it's unscented). I have previously read other reviews about this cream and it's performance so I was psyched to try it. I must mention that I added some Peppermint and Rosemary essential oil (about 10 drops each) to the cream last night, stirred up and let it sit till this morning. This combo of scents is pure refreshment IMO.

So I set my new Manchurian beauty in the scuttle with warm water for about 5 minutes, dipped the brush in the cream, swirled a few times to load the brush and began to face lather. BOOM, POW the lather simply exploded on my face!!! This cream is very easy to lather, does not need much water, incredibly slick and with ample cushion. My Red Tip with a Treet Black Beauty just skated across my face and allowed me to achieve a truly wonderful 3 pass BBS shave.

I'm normally not a cream guy by any means but this one will definitely work it's way into my rotation as it's performance is truly top notch!

Hola Teiste...would love to give you a comparison my friend but I've never tried any of the CF creams. I can tell you that it performs quite similar to La Toja S/C and Speick...IMO 2 great creams that provide slick, rich lather and leave your face feeling great!

Just about bought this last night from Bullgoose but went with a couple of soaps instead, TFS and Windsor. When they come out with the scented versions I'm sure I'll try it. Nice review.

I would also be interested to know how it compares to the Castle Forbes creams which are the best I have found anywhere (including the artisan companies).

I havent tried the CF, but the Simpsons is fantastic. It will be even better when the scented versions are released, as IMO the subtle smell of the unscented was the only thing I didn't really enjoy...

I'll pop up a review after a couple more tries with it. I'm liking it so far - the lather, as mentioned, is mega slick and very easy to generate. Not a big fan of the scent but it doesn't linger at all so it's not a significant concern for me.

I finally got some in the mail the other day. Love the performance. I put a few squirts of KMF Lime into the tub and shook it up. It's got a nice mild lime scent now. I'd rate it better than Castle Forbes. Castle Forbes has too much of a chemical and synthetic smell to me.

That's funny, I always thought CF had the most authentic lime smell. Then one day my mum took a wiff of it and said, "mmm, that smells like shoe polish." Biggrin, oh well, ymmv as they say.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first run through with Simpsons shave cream tonight! Does anybody happen to know when they'll release the scented versions?

I know it's technically unscented, but how would you guys describe the scent?

It's a bland scent Amir. Not even a soapy scent which normally to me wouldn't be a good thing, but this stuff lathers so good, it more than makes up for it. Very nice all the way around

Thanks Dave. I really need to try this one, but I'm trying to hold out for the scented versions.

We are delighted with the reviews and really, rather humbled.

We knew we had a great product but you often receive a certain level of negativity, however in this case we have received none.

The 12 month R&D period has paid off!

Thanks guys, you rule Cool

Mark

Pick up the unscented version and add a little KMF or other type scent to it. It really adds to it without taking anything away.
