In the wild I have found coti's and ark's, but now I have found my first Escher. A boxed and labeled stone with slurry stone measuring 6 x 1 1/4. It has a green tint to it and it's slurry. Both labels are in German, so I assume its old school. I was told it came from the sellers grandfather who used them on his SR. It will get a lapping and a test drive soon. A nice addition to my rock pile.

Wow!

It's a beauty.

I don't even use straights but I know what that is. Found one once in an antique shop and learned all about them.

Big congratulations.

It's huge.

The flea markets have been good to me so far the spring. I found two Thuri's in the wild. The first was sold to me as a paper weight. A Y/G that measures 6 x 1 1/4. The second, also Y/G that measures 6 x 2. It looks like, feels like and smells like a Escher Barbers Delight but has no label or glue remains. Now I have to find two rub stones and build some wooden cases for them.

A couple of stones I found recently at the flea markets. A Hohenzollern Abziehstein with and a fairly good label. A nice stone with great Pedigree. Also rescued a Escher Barber Gem to go with my Barber Delight. 5 x 2 1/2 of Thuri goodness. Both have matching rub stones. Two nice additions to my hone pile
