Does anyone know if the Viking Sword blades are the same as the Israeli reds but Teflon coated ? I was able to get fifty of them and my first impression is that they are very similar. Just curious if anyone knows for sure.

Can you post a photo of an unwrapped blade? It may help to identify it.
The Elite Razors handle is real sharp Smile How do you like that Maggard synth brush?

Here's the blade, sorry for taking so long to respond.
I love the maggard brush!!! It kinda bums me out though because my expensive brushes sit on the shelf and I use the maggard brush damn near everyday.

I snooped around the interweb and by all accounts it seems to be one of the many brands to come from the Nazareth plant. Reviews tend to be positive. What's your opinion?

I really like the performance of this blade, it's not my number one but it is very consistent... So far. I bought more after my first test so that usually means it's a keeper.

Charlie, I have the same brush and it's an excellent performer.  At its price, I think it's a great value.  There are a number of moderately priced synthetics with Plisson type knots, but they don't have a handle as nice as the Maggard.

After shaving with the Viking Sword blades for a couple weeks... I've really taken to them. Moved them into my top three. They are smooth and have proven to last three face and head shaves with no noticable loss in performance.
Cheers

I agree, the Viking's Sword blades are very good and often overlooked.
