We all look for the razor that feels perfect in the hand, cuts close and stays sharp. For me the MK*31 is just that razor and I have several exceptional examples. My rarest is a C.V. Heljestrand MK 31 (17.5mm) Full Hollow in Gilded Scales.

I also have a beautiful 7-day set in Tortoise. These MK*31s are of a smaller size being 15mm blades.

I also have a 7-day set that I created from a weekend set and 5 MK*31s that were rescaled in bone.

And lastly I recently picked this two-piece set up. These are also 15mm blades.

Just wanted to share some Swedish eye candy. I'd like to see yours now!

I take it you like MK 31's?  Tongue  I've admired your razors many times, and never tire of looking at them, especially the one with gilded scales. Thanks for showing us your magnificent collection.

I'm not a straight shaver, but if I were, I think that would be the razor I'd choose!  Just beautiful.

First time seeing the MK 31 with gilded scales, it's an incredible look., very balanced visually. And it can't go without saying how well preserved that and your tortoise 7 day is, just an an amazing collection, thanks for sharing!

Dan - those razors never disappoint. I'll take a pic of some of mine. Not as extensive as yours. Smile

Are the Gilded scales on the 31 original, I don't ever recall seeing them in anything but white like the last pic

Yes, they are original. I don't know who the razor was made for, but he had good taste!
