I have been looking forward to trying the synthetic Tuxedo knot. Larry at Whipped Dog put the knot in one of his tall handles and it arrived yesterday. This may be the softest brush I've felt, the tips are like silk but the backbone is not very firm. I whipped up a nice bowl of C&S #88 and the brush felt wonderful painting the lather on my face.

I'm not familiar with this synthetic knot, so your comments are useful.

I used it today and was very pleased with its ability to quickly create a nice lather from a fresh tub of Valobra. The brush loaded easily and with a bit of water added to the lather bowl I had enough slick lather for 4 passes (I only did 2). The feeling on the face is quite wonderful and the brush did a nice job of face lathering as well. There is absolutely no exfoliating going on with this brush as the tips caresses the face. I should also mention that the lather pass through with this knot is most excellent. It is my one synthetic and I'm very happy with it.

This is the only synthetic knot that I find intriguing. I wonder how it compares to others like the Mühle.
Enjoy your nice brush.

FWIW, I really like the fit, feel, and balance of Larry's tall handle. I have one with his Silvertip knot.
