A while back I bought from a vendor and received a free Taylor's shaving cream. I was thinking of picking up another one or two because it travels so nice. This brings up the question of what to buy. What's your picks? Thanks.

I've tried the following:

Eton College
Grapefruit
Avocado
Sandalwood

I enjoyed them all, but Eton College was my favorite.  A fresh, lively scent, but not overpowering.  Grapefruit would be my second choice, pretty true to the name. Sandalwood is very spicy, not a daily driver for me but an interesting treat once in a while.  Avocado is very grassy, nice, but not something I'd buy again.

And for non-TOBS creams, CO Bigelow has been my go to travel tube (they have travel size tubes which are nice).  The Old Spice creams from India (original and lime) are really nice too although they are in plastic, not metal, tubes.  I prefer metal and they are easier to pack as they get smaller over time.

I would go with Coates.  Even though discontinued, there is someone that sells the tubed variety.

Speick, Proraso Red and EJ are the ones I prefer.  I'll also use SJoL, but haven't really found (or looked too hard) for other options since I tend to go for soaps.

Prorasso and Palmolive are nice.

Best is subjective.

I would love to try some Penhaligan's one day. Their scents are great.

There's a lot of Indian origin creams to try too.

Using Palmolive now (believe Nikos suggested it).  It's very relaxing, love the scent.

St. James of London is pretty darn good stuff and it comes in travel size tubes.  I also like Proraso Red but I don't know if you can get travel sizes.

My picks would be Palmolive, Musgo Real classic, or Speick.

Trumper's Spanish Leather & Eucris (their tube creams are better than their tubs)

This +1

And to add:
Speick, Atkinson Lavender (made by same company that makes I Coloniali), Acqua di Parma, Musgo Real & St. James

My personal best performing creams in tubes from my collection ranks like this:

1. Floris 89, best cream I have ever used in a tube
2. Acqua Di Parma. Great stuff
3. St. James. Fantastic
4. Penhaligon. Luxurious.
5. Musgo Real. If you can take the lanolin, they are best value cream in the world.
6. I Coloniali/Atkinson Lavender (same cream, different brand name and scents)
7. Speick, excellent value cream.
8. GFT's Spanish Leather & Eucris. As Steelman says, arguably better than the GFT pots (I own the entire GFT cream collection, not their soaps, because their soaps are utter crap)
9. TF&H Ultimate - excellent cream

With all these tubes, you're off to a great shave

FYI I have sold all my Proraso creams and soaps, but if you can accept the weird scent, Proraso Blue cream is a TOP NOTCH QUALITY CREAM. Proraso Red is no slouch either.

SJoL is my go to cream in a tube when I travel, its hard to beat when you factor in price, and as Claus states it is a fantastic cream.

Hi Claus, any idea on the shave soap Floris 89. Is it the same formulation or different?

I have been eyeing this for sometime now and need to decide between the soap and the cream.

Thanks.
