For those of you who raved about the Rockwell 6S, is it still your favorite razor?

I'm very happy with my Rockwell 6S.  It gives one a lot of options.   It's well built too.

It's a nice razor. I used it today for one more time. I can't say that it's my best DE or razor in general, but I enjoy my shaves with it. It gives you many options and at this price you don't have many better options.

Still love it.  I have several "favorites" but the 6s is right in the mix.

I got mine back the first week of december. It was my second DE razor right after an MT1, I've gotten a few more since then but have to force myself to use them. They're excellent razors, don't get me wrong. Baili bt131, Razorock De1, Razorock teck II, Razorock quick change, gillette slim adjustable, an unbranded frankenrazor i put together basing it off of an old WW1 Gillette ad. So i got 8 models of razors. Love em all. All shave great. But the rockwell is durable, strong, rugged, smooth, efficient, heavy, well balanced... It's literally everything most of us look for. It's not just a unique design but it's also a great performer. You should get one if you don't have one already. I own 2.

Welcome to TSN sky pilot 83.   Great to see you posting on your first day.  If you have a chance, introduce yourself in the Introductions section.  This way we can give you a proper welcome.  The 6S has gotten many positive reviews, and I'll be adding one to my shave den at some point.

Lol. Hear hear.

6S is still my second favorite, but the BB is just another level of amazing.

Have had mine for about 9 months and yes, it's still my favorite by far and my daily razor.

I don't use any of my other razors anymore. When I want variety, I change plates.

How would you compare the performance to the Futur.  I have the futur and really love the shaves of it and the Muhle R41.

Love my Rockwell. I do force myself to dabble with my 50+ other vintage and modern razors.

Usually when I read a thread about one, I will pull it out for a few shaves. Currently dabbling with my Schick type F. Traveling tomorrow...will use the 6S with plate 4.

I haven't really compared them head to head, but I do have both.  My standard rockwell plate is #3.  For the Futur I shave between 3 and 4. So they seem to be comparable in the mid range.   That being said, I think the #6 setting on the Futur is probably a bit more aggressive than the Rockwell #6 plate. That's my impression, but I'll have to pull out the Futur and check again.

I find the rockwell to be much smoother than the futur without compromising on the efficiency.

I have thick stubble and shave daily. I get a bbs from the rockwell on 3 and I also get abbs from the futur on 3 but the rockwell wins on comfort by a big margin.

I have had two shaves with the 6s. First was with the 3 plate. It shaved like my Feather AS D2. With the 4 plate the shave was like my Wolfman. I might consider selling my Wolfman for the right price
