I have a little seed of an idea floating in my head and I'm hoping you all can give me some input.  Reddit does a lot of "AMA" (Ask Me Anything) Q&A sessions.  Over the years I've made a lot of contacts in the wet shaving world, from the established and well-known (Leisureguy, Lynn Abrams for example) to the controversial (Luke Webster, Douglas Smythe), to artisans (I did a series of interviews a while back), to brands (Edwin Jagger, OneBlade, Castle Forbes, etc.).

So my question is...who would you be interested in seeing a wet shaving AMA with?  Maybe I can facilitate something!

I'd be interested in a Q&A with Wolfman or the Timeless folks.  Would be interesting to hear about their design process as well as thinking around supply/demand etc.  For that matter, would be interesting to hear from the Rockwell folks.

The timing might be interesting for CRSW; he'd get a lot of questions about the recent change in direction. After that cools down, it'd be great though.

Others: Mike from Mike's natural soaps. Ken from Paladin. Mark from Simpsons. Maybe even Bernd from Shavemac.

I'd like to see OneBlade address several questions regarding their customer service during the "defective" razor issues as well as why they redesigned the razor? Could it have anything to do with trying to eliminate the GEM blade from being used easily? Also, would they comment as to their role in European vendors no longer shipping FHS-10 blades to the USA?

It would be great for the board, but I suspect it would have the possibility, even the likelihood of being very time consuming for the vendors/artisans/manufacturers asked to do the answering. An active board, like this, could weigh in with quite a workload that after a while might become a bit oppresive. The answer to that is for the questions to be shoved aside and not handled. This would defeat the purpose of the AMA, but nothing ventured, nothing lost!

In general, an AMA lasts for something like an hour - so whatever questions come in during that time have a good shot at being addressed. (E.G., the questions are asked AND answered during that hour)

Great! That being the case, it should work well.

this would interest me as well. Good luck with the first one though it would be an opportunity to set the record straight on a number of topics.
