Check out under Gillette Safety razors (highest first) approx 40 minutes left (it is now 6;39 pm PST) a 1953 Gillette President $352.00....43 bids...11 bidders...my guess it will be well over $400.00 (another CFM product) and there are a few others from him ending within a couple hours...just amazing almost like Las Vegas...check it outTongue

I have spoken to them and he sells on consignment and often puts cases from one seller with razors from another..but he does all the work and takes I think about 30 to 35 percent...very up front and his wife does the razors and he does the straights...they mix and match..possibly the best out there if you want to dump a lot of razors...you send them to him and they fix and clean and split the profits...not bad for big collectors who tire of the game.

Without even looking on eBay I know exactly who you are referring to. Actually most of the razors auctioned off are straights but every razor is mint and in perfect condition. The seller always has 100% customer satisfaction. I have always been leery of this seller but that is me.

caveat emptor

[/quote Honestly I have bought several razors from CFM and have been totaly delighted. I have bought dozens of razors on the Bay and had only one dud but the price was right and I used it for parts.Luckily no problems from anyone at any time...mind you he would be my first choice if I wanted a particular razor in mint or almost mint condition.

What is funny is they have the metal listed backwards. It's a Nickel head and a Rhodium handle. Way too much money for this razor. But I love mine.Biggrin

As long as you are happy with your purchase that is all that counts.
