La Toja is my favorite shaving soap. I think it is the best soap of all the soaps out there, puck or stick.
My problem is that lately when I use it I am getting a burning feeling in my moustache area.  I know some guys are allergic to it. I'm afraid I am becoming one of them. It’s too bad because I really love this soap. Anyone else have this problem?

Me too! I think it was the first soap that did that to me.
I really like the scent though and it lathers itself.

My favorite budget shaving soap.
Fortunately, for me, I have no problems with it, other than its scented ;-)

If it's only your mustache area it doesn't sound like and allergy. It could be you're going a little to hard on that area and you're feeling the irritation because of that. Maybe.....

There could be some truth to that but it starts to burn even before my razor touches it.

I found any product that has EDTA in it; is a no go for me. May be ok initially, but will alway end causing me a reaction. Sorry that your having a problem.  Sad

I use the cream with soap to make Uber Lather. I have had no problems. I have had no problems that way. Try using the La Toja in conjunction with another soap. It makes a great uber lather.

It's a great stick, but it causes allergic reaction to some people.

This and LEA stick have a detergent scent that I can't say I like very much.

It performs excellent for me.

I love the scent. It reminds me of clean linen. In fact when I first started using La Toja I had a hard time getting a good lather. The only reason I stayed with it was because I liked the scent so much.

I feel a slight irritation specially if I take my time, but that won't stop me from enjoying this soap. Biggrin

I really like it. I wish Arko came with the same cover, it's so convenient and makes a lot of sense.

Just put your Arko in a twist up stick tube. You can get them at West Coast Shaving for only $2.00. It's easy with Arko because it's so soft.

Hi Ron,

I have one of these, but yours look so much more neater. I'll redo mine once it runs out.

A great soap but just a bit drying for me. Otherwise, no issues.
