Always love to try something new, Jabonman somehow slipped right passed me and I had no idea it existed. But thanks to my friend Teiste, I got 2 small jars in Lavender/Bergamot and Orange/Patchouli.

Intro
Jabonman is artisan soap maker from Barcelona, Spain. His soaps are very popular and well known on Spanish shaving forums. You can place an order with Manuel directly by email - magafe_es@yahoo.es (moderators: I don't know if this info is allowed here, I have no affiliations with this business). If you want to ask questions, it helps if you speak Spanish.

Scent
7/10
Jabonman has many scents to offer, out of 2 that I had I picked Ylang Ylang (Orange/Patchouli). I have never liked Patchouli, the scent was not bad, really strong but pleasant.

Lathering
9/10
I approached this, as I would lather any other croap and this was my mistake. I loaded my damp silvertip for about 20 seconds, took it to my scuttle to build the lather adding few drops of water at a time. In about a minute I was ready to give up and express my "happy" thoughts in loud obnoxious voice, the lather was airy and bubbly and no sign of any yogurty goodness that one would expect. Any Italian croap that I have would be ready by this time. But... I kept on swirling, I couldn't believe that so many people in Spain would be wrong. Another 20-30 seconds passed and it happened! It turned into most thickest, creamiest, slickest lather. It was perfect consistency and stayed this way for the entire shave.

Skin Care
10/10
Excellent! Face still feels very fresh and moisturized.

Price
8/10
It is very reasonably priced in Spain at about 6 Euro a puck. Shipping will of course raise the price depending on how many you order.

Conclusion
Great product! Would I buy it again? I didn't buy it this time (thank you my friend) but definitely YES!

I'm going to have to stay out of these threads. On hand I have 4 types of soap and 3 creams. And now I want to check this fellow out. Facepalm Gee, thanks. Dodgy

BTW, what can Your Imperial Majesty tell me about Russian-made shave products? Wink

Missed your last question. Not to turn this thread in the wrong direction. Read Jeff's (JAYDEE) reviews on all Russian creams here, his collection can't be beat Biggrin

... and have worked myself into a state of abject poverty. Cool

More important, I have no place to put stuff. I have more stuff in the bathroom than a 14-year-old girl does! And my blade repository is already in the linen closet! Shocked

Forty soaps? Reality bites. Right in the a-s-s! Laughing1

Beartrap was kind enough to send me the Ylang Ylang (Orange/Patchouli) and I really like it. I got a great shave with it and my wife loves the smell of Patchouli.

My friend Teiste was kind enough to send me a sample of the limited edition scent made for the forum. I was honestly shocked by the creamy thick lather it produced. Great stuff! I just wish that scent were still available...

I would say that the foroafeitado edition, with Tierra Humeda is the best shaving soap made so far by Jabonman.
I have tested other soaps from Jaboman with different scents, and those two are simply SUPERB!
