I have much too many brushes, so I'll just say the one I use each morning. Nonetheless, 99% of them have large 2-Band knots. Shy

I still love my Semogue 620 -- but the new sheriff in town is the Savile Row 3824.

I face lather exclusively and only keep brushes that I like a lot, so in a sense all of my brushes are "favorites."  The most I can say is that my favorite will be a 26-28mm 2-band set to a low loft.

I'm surprised by not seeing any synthetic brushes being mentioned.

My preference is like Legal Razors: a large two-band knot (26-30mm) set at a low loft with a fan shape.

Me too and I'll change that right now as my favorite is my Wolfwhiskers with 25mm Black Wolf Synthetic

It is all very subjective, but I believe the main reason is the 'springiness' that is a common characteristic of most, if not all, synthetics. However, YMMV. Shy

Tough one. Would be something from Shavemac or M&F (old Lee Sabini stuff)

All my badgers from Thäter and Shavemac

I sold my other badgers.

I own 15-16 synthetics, still not any of them, that beats my badgers for face lathering.
For bowl lathering, if I ever do that, the synthetics are now superior to badgers imho.
