What does M, R, etc. represent?
What does 1, 2 represent?

M = Mild 
R = Regular 
H = Heavy 

1 = Safety Bar 
2 = Open Comb

H: HEAVY

1: CLOSED COMB
2: OPEN COMBO

So for example the M2 head base plate is the mild open comb.

I have recently received an ATLAS M2 which is really good, great close shave but not too aggressive..
Great razor !!!
I will review it after a few more shaves,
