My wife surprised me with a "Clean Up Your Act" grooming kit - Sandalwood shave cream and body wash, lemon shampoo, and an unscented lotion. I haven't used it yet, but it appears to be a brushless cream. The scents are mild and pleasant.

They also have a "Close Shave Shaving Kit" that has a shave soap, balm, and brush, according to the website.

Has anyone used these products?

After four uses I can say that the TJ shave cream is not worth it. The sandalwood scent is nice but too mild for my preference. The cream itself lathers, but doesn't impress, nor is it slick enough or thick enough. Adding more product helps some, but not enough.

I have tried it before and I agree with your assessment.  Not horrible, but not great, either.  All of my lathering soaps are superior to it.

I don't know if it's the same formula but I like the Mango/honey variety used brushless. Protective, not ideal for BBS, but great for a quick shave in the hotel with a disposable.

My experience is that TJ does much better with bath soaps;  try their Lavender.

Very nice soap. I bought it and my wife liked it so much that she has been the repeat purchaser.
