I voted for black as sharpest but the yellow is close and is a touch smoother than the black. Both are great.

I don't like the Super Stainless black box at all but there's another 7O'Clock Super Stainless that comes in a dark blue box and that's very good for a contemporary blade.

I have always wanted to try the SharpEdge blades but have never got around to doing so. I do like the blacks as they are sharp but still very comfortable.

This battle is going to be about even. The day after tomorrow will start my own experiment. Will report, of course.

I like the black. From experience it's sharper and lasts longer than the yellow. The black may also have the edge with regard to smoothness.

I find the Black superior in terms of sharpness and smoothness which go hand in hand I believe.

Sharpest - Yellow by a tad
Smoothest - Black by a huge margin
Longevity - about the same

Overall verdict - Black, no question.

I thought the blacks were super scratchy.  The yellows are sharp, but, not as biting.

This is my experience with these blades.  But YMMV of course.  Given a choice I'd pick yellow over black as they are a bit smoother.

to me 7'o clock (yellows,blacks,green-super stainless), GSB, Brazilian Platinums are the best blades out there

I prefer the Super Platinums. I even prefer the Perma Sharps (indian greens) to the yellows. All three are top tier anyway.
