I'm going to be in Australia, and of course I'd want to pick up any local (to Sydney or Brisbane, possibly elsewhere that I could ship ahead to my hotel) shave soaps and creams. Artisan or commercial, I don't hear much about Aussie products.

Take a look at Wolfpac Shaving Soap. Not sure posting a link to a non-supported vendor is breaking the rules so just Google it.

Shaver Heaven soaps were all the rage here but unfortunately they closed their business.

We have some very small artisans but their products cannot be purchased from brick and mortar stores.

Just remembered another.

There is a brick & mortar store in Sydney called Mensbiz. They sell a great Australian soap called Occams Original Shave Cream and also a pre-shave soap. Quality of these products are top notch.

There is only one cream from Australia which I have heard of but never tried. It's Faulding.

I have tried it and it's on par with XPEC. Just kidding. ? It is a very underwhelming shaving cream that will do the job (just). The best thing about Faulding cream is it's availability- you can purchase it at your local supermarket. A lot like Proraso actually.

Squadron Soaps are made here in Adelaide - Andy has a a facebook page, through which you can contact him

I know, it is not on your list, but you could visit Tony Forsyth of Perfect Pens & Pencils in Brisbane and commission/pick-up a custom brush directly.

One of the best soaps I have is from Washpool Farm.
It's a tallow formula and it's just awesome!

Anyone every try Doug Murray's Bay Rum?

Before the artisan explosion I was on a quest to try as many as I could and I remember it coming up as having a great scent although not sure on its performance.

So Australia has quite a few soaps and creams available. More than I realized.

Nota bene, Shaver Heaven will be opening its doors again sometime later this year, can't wait.
