I was lucky i landed a Paladin Chief in tortoise. They were sold out in a heartbeat. Ok, the review...

I opened the tube where it came and said: oh no! It seemed incredibly small, most noticeably the knot. Then i touch it and said: OH NO!!!! It felt way to stiff and harsh!!!

Then the testing began. I used La Cigala Savon Barbe, a very good soap introduced to my by Phil. I should start calling him my mentor... I used a Wal-Mart cereal bowl that fits my hand perfectly and costed $.99.

I started whipping the brush in the soap and learned the true meaning of the word backbone. After 15 seconds it was loaded. I couldnt dare go beyond 20.

Then i went for the bowl. The soap exploded. I put a few drops of water three times. I did not know what to do with so much lather. I lathered my face and my head 3 times and i could have gone for a forth.

The feeling in the face was amazing. Super gentle and with the perfect amount of firmness at the same time. Firm enough to massage the face, and soft enough to caress the skin. A balance so perfect that i did not thought was possible.

I want to congratulate Ken and his team for a job well done. I am in love with this brush and know very well that his fans will keep multiplying in the near future. God bless.

Best regards,

Pepe Peña

Congratulations on your first Paladin Pepe.  The Chief is an excellent brush and your review summarizes the qualities of the knot well.

What a beauty.

Congrats.

I used my Paladin Lotus yesterday and you're right. Loads of backbone but great softness at the same time.

y new Paladin Sumo just arrived. It is soaking in a bath of Borax as I type this. Next a bath in some Bigalow Bay rum soap and finally five minutes in some conditioner. Final step some Renaissance wax. My first impression is the same as Carlos. That is, small knot ( prefer a smaller brush) and stiff tips. I will probably shave with it Sunday.

Nice! I love my Paladins; soft and caressing tips, perfect amount of backbone, and the handles are beautifully crafted. Enjoy, Nookers!

Sunday?  It's Thursday today and that brush is getting more prep than someone going in for open heart surgery.  Just shave with it my friend.  Enjoy!

love me the turtle paladins.  great attention to detail and assembly.  I just wanted to add we should applaud Ken's personal badger stash.  they must be feasting on caviar or hazlenuts.  Honor the rodent

For me, it performs better than any other i ever had (not that they are too many). Ran a test yesterday: face lathering! Using shannon's tallow silk pajamas, i lathered for seven passes before it started being to watery. Today i did the same with my omega silvertip. Now the same at all.

Enjoy. Have fun!

Chief arrived!  Great brush.  Unfortunately my cat likes it too...he dragged it under the bed thinking it was a cat toy!  I quickly grabbed it, but boy was I worried.  No damage though...
