I have a Simpsons Manchurian Classic 1 (and travel case) en route which will replace my current travel brush: the Simpsons "Major" in Super.

So the "Major" must go!

The "Major" went to Paris and Koh Samui at the beginning of the year and hasn't travelled since. The "Major" saw only about half a dozen lathers (as I only shaved every 2nd day whilst on holiday) and it still looks brand new. The "Major" never shed a hair!

Total Height: 123mm
Bristle Loft: 44mm
Knot Diameter: 18mm

"The Simpson Major is considered to be one of the finest travel shaving brushes available today. The hand tied knot is filled with Simpson Super badger hair. This is a turnback style of brush where the handle is used as storage for the brush."

I had one of these. They do make a great travel brush. I quit traveling for business when I retired and I sold mine. Someone needs to grab this beauty.

I don't know how you can let them all go, Ben. It's like destroing a museum. Someone please buy this great brush, I really don't need 2 travel brushes, or I'd have to start traveling Biggrin

The Major has always interested me. It seems perfectly designed for its function. I like that "form follows function" efficiency.

But I must resist. I travel infrequently and I have what I need. I'd love to have it anyway, but my available $s are going into another shaving project at the moment.

Would somone please buy this to remove the temptation?

I won't be reducing this one! I'll leave it for a few more days, then it is going back into the travel wash bag...

Great design for a travel brush ,

Maybe another trip to Koh Samui is warranted. Wink

I think so, it's a beautiful part of the world, but I have a Classic 1 Manchurian and matching travel case en route from Simpsons to accompany me on my next vacation...
