Owners of the Rockwell 6S, what blade do you prefer?

The last couple of weeks I have been using Gillette Silver Blue in all my DE razors. It performed perfectly in all but one: Rockwell 6S.

When I received the razor I was using feathers and I don't have a single complaint about the Rockwell...

Your thoughts?!

I pretty much use GSBs, Polsilver, or Astra SP in all my DEs.   I use #3 plate on the Rockwell and get good shaves using the GSBs.

I received 100 free blades with the razor. I have been using those blades with the razor and #4 plate. I thought I would switch to Feathers after a while but I have been so pleased with the shaves that as of yet I haven't switched to a different brand

Both the Gillette Silver Blues and the Polsilver Super Iridiums have worked very well in the Rockwell 6S. I've used them in baseplates 3 and 4 with excellent results. Unfortunately, the blades that came with the razor didn't do me much good at all.

Thanks, Pepe, you've got me thinking that Feathers may be worth a try, and I've just placed an order.

Been using the 6S for about 8 months now.  Didn't care for the Rockwell branded razors that came with it.  Tried a bunch of different blades.  Some good, some bad.  But I keep coming back to the Astra's and Feather's.  The Feather's seem a bit sharper and more prone to nicks and cuts, so I switch to plate 2.  The Astra's seem a bit kinder and gentler, so I use plate 3.  IMHO, if you can't find a setting on the Rockwell that works with the blade you are using, the blade must be garbage.

I use the 3 plate and the US made Personna blades. They give me the best, most comfortable shaves.

Anything but Rockwell blades.  Love the razor, hate the blades.

As I said earlier I liked this razor so much I started with the Rockwell Blades. The shave has been so good that  I stayed with the blades the razor came with. After reading this thread and everyone poo-pooing the Rockwell Blades I shaved today with the 6S loaded with a Feather blade. I couldn't believe this razor could get any better. Surprise, cleaner easier shave I didn't think possible. I may have to drop it from a four plate to a three plate for my future shaves. Thanks for letting me know I was missing out. Anyone want to buy 95 Rockwell blades?

Hey, I'll throw in 95 of mine. Oh, wait. I already chucked them out.

Dear Joucas;

I am really happy that you chucked yours out. Imagine, i offered two buck to Barry if he paid the mailman, and found out that he lives in a town next to mine (about 10 min away). Now, word is bond. The joke is going to cost me two dollars. If you had yours, i would have made the same offer.... jajjaja.
