Hello,
I just received a hair pomade in the mail today and haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet. I was just wanting to see how it compares to what others are using for an all-natural hair pomade nowadays. It's called O'Doud's water-based hair pomade.
Thanks

I literally could not stand the smell.  Lot of those home brewers have an herbal scent to them that turns my stomach, so YMMV.

I noticed it smells like wood putty. Looks and feels like wood putty too.

I use the O'Doud's Water Based and Shear Revival Crystal Lake on alternate days.  Both do what I want them to do quite well - they keep my straight hair from blowing and flopping and give it a little body without looking like I have product in my hair.   A pea sized amount does the trick.  Scent from the jar is irrelevant to me; I doubt if the small amount I use has any scent upon application, and I apply a fragrance anyway.  Its good stuff.
