Hello gents;

This is one of those things that much can be gained by experience. I need some of yours.

I just lost a Merkur 41C to my lady. I put a Kai blade in it. Her legs are BBS in one ATG pass.

Is this good or bad??? Jajajaja!

Best regards,

Pepe Peña

It is good I think. You have to replace the razor and buy more stuff for her to try.  Win Win

It can be a much better idea if you do the lathering and shave her legs yourself....

Welcome to the new world order! The positive is that your lady will soon understand you addictions and fully support your hobby. The negative is you will lose a lot more equipment than one 41C. My lady shaves using one of her 4 vintage Gillette razors (3-piece and TTOs), with either her lather bowl or G-20 scuttle and one of her almost 10 soaps. She has 5 brushes to choose from as well. At one time all those items were mine! She loves wet shaving and is 100% supportive of me. It's just that hobby now costs almost twice as much! LOL!

Sounds like a good thing to me.  Ive tried to turn my wife on to wet shaving but my DE razor scares her and she loves her little plastic throwaway razors.

dude, total win all around.  when you go to buy stuff throw in something for her.  when she sees that you thought of her she will melt.  maybe she will buy stuff for you as a presentSmile

badgerstate:  work on her, hun....don't be discouraged.  like cheryl cole says, "ya gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love."

Win! My girl has a lady Gillette and makes me build her lather.  She likes different soaps and often ones that didn't appeal to me.  be careful though.  She talked to my daughter and two daughters  -in-law and three more razors went missing.

Dear gents;

I thank you all for taking the time. Now i see it all with different eyes. Mothers day its around the corner... finally i will have a way to try that Martin de Candre that everybody reveres so much and i havent been able to cough the $$$...

I really dont mind sharing my razors with her, or even giving them to her. What the heck, i have 22 razors! Well, she is not taking away any of my asylums, timeless, B&R, rockwell... eeee. We will have to split the rest and/or more new razors are headed home.

You are right. Its a win win.

Best regards,

Pepe Peña

P. D. In the last 12 hours her interest is shifting towards brushes and soap...!!! :-) The plot thickens!!!

Pepe, a man has to draw the line somewhere.

I would love for my wife to embrace my hobby, but she cringes as it is when I use "those scary razors".  Good thing she also supports my passion.  Shy

Dear Ricardo;

My beloved Damaris is full in. After trying them all she prefers synthetic brushes, and the less aggressive blades. She HATED the ethanol based aftershave experience. She is beginning to discuss the pros and cons of all things related. I think she likes the spa aspect of it all.

This makes me so happy.

Best regards,

Pepe Peña

My wife tolerates my hobby quite well, primarily because the funds for it come directly from my "mad money". I would love it if she took to traditional wet shaving. I'd get to try twice as many razors. Wink
