This one's a prototype and spoken for, I believe, by Cody's fiancé Courtney, who among other things keeps bees. But I'll share it anyway.

It is not a trivial thing to turn this shape without ending up with a lot of unwanted texture in the grooves. And I don't know of anyone who matches the quality of Cody's finish-work and engraving.

We came up with the idea of using bees because there isn't much space to work with for the usual stuff we put on backsides. And the bees speak for themselves.

Beautiful, Ken. I'd be happy to drive to Corvallis to take one off Cody's hands.  Biggrin

I may have to try for some of these. The last couple of releases have had some nice brushes but but nothing that I already had from you.

Sorry for the slow reply. I tried to post one yesterday, but it didn't stick (too fast).

This is a family business. I started it in partnership with my son (Cody) and my wife (Pam) has had an essential (and evolving) role from the start. My wife and I live in Overland Park, KS. Last summer Cody moved his part of shop to Corvallis, OR, where his fiancé lives, and I moved most of the rest of the shop out of our house, where it had outgrown the space. Now I turn the handles KS, my wife sands them, and then they're shipped in batches of about 40 to OR, where Cody finishes and engraves them before sending them back to KS, where we install knots, take measurements, assign codes, and take photos. When that's all done, the photos go up into the Cloud, Cody downloads, processes, and uploads them into our store at http://www.paladinshaving.com prior to each release. He manages the releases from OR, we ship the brushes from KS. It's a little complicated, but it works.

Really interesting new designs! Ken, what is the anticipted knot size for those "Eagle" style handles? I've always loved those handles.
