I was wondering if there is any specific site loyalty or if folks belong to several wet shaving sites. Curious mostly. I belong to 2.
thanks

Gentlemen, this is a legitimate subject for discussion and the thread could be interesting.

One of the qualities of TSN is our zero tolerance policy regarding posts attacking other shaving sites.  Item 12 in our Forum Rules states:

12. We will not tolerate bad mouthing of other shaving sites. Please refrain from this sort of discussion.   Also, members should not make disparaging or derogatory comments about TSN or its agents, elsewhere online or otherwise ... such behavior may affect their status here.

We believe this rule is important to maintaining the integrity and high ethical standards of TSN.  Please keep the rule in mind when you post in this thread.

Thank you.

Hello all;

I participate in straight razor place. It is straight razor oriented. Very. Nice community. Very technical.

I also participate in badger and blade. Very nice too.

But the best by far is the nook. Its the atmosphere, the camaraderie. Friendly, helpful, fun.

This forum is so cool. That is one of the reasons that i started using safety razors. Coming from straights, i was kind of a Straight snob. Disregarded DE and SE as children of a lesser god. I converted thanks to Phil and the guys.

Best regards,

Pepe Peña

I just recently started back posting on forums. I post here, at the Shave Den,and at The Original Safety Too. I find that each site has a lot of great information to share. They all have a little different feel, but all are full of great people.

I used to be very active and on "staff" at B&B but when the Nook was formed, it became my only home.   Cool

I've jumped around, a bit. I no longer participate on SRP since having to give up using straights. Now, it's here on the Nook and the U.K. forum, Against the Grain.

Every site is slightly different but they all are worth looking at because they all offer something.

I can understand that.  TOST would be my only home but we do not talk DE there just SE and Injector. So I use the other sites to talk about and help others with that. I find I post here more then the others though. More of a family feel if that makes sense.

I participate in The Shave Den too.  I like it a lot.  As mentioned, each site has its on personality.  The Shave Nook seems to be more International to me.

Including TSN I'm a member of five forums.  I regularly participate in four of which TSN is one, but then I'm retired and have the time.  I was banned from a sixth forum about seven years ago and to this day I don't understand what my transgression was.  Each forum has its own personality, but I enjoy them all.

I started at B&B in 2011, was very active, but got into a heated debate and finally asked a mod at B&B to permanently close my account there.

Then got in The Nook in 2012, was also active on Shaveden and The Shaving Room. co . uk, but rarely visit these sites now.

Have also been active on Damn Fine Shave, but not so much the last 2-3 months.

I have no really negative things to add about any forum. You can get into heated discussions everywhere.
I consider myself a more mature and calm person now, than I used to be 4-5 years ago.

I'm shave forum monogamous. Technically I can log on as a member at 5 wet-shave fora, but TSN is the only one I look at / post on. Early in my shave forum lifestyle I decided there was no way I could concentrate on more than one. This place won my allegiance hands down. A while back I was a very active member at two music fora. Eventually I grew bored with it. My love of playing guitar hasn't waned, just my desire to spend online time toward that endeavor. Since joining TSN, my web activity is limited to here (and window shopping at a handful of preferred vendors), checking email (and paying bills) and reading the NY Times. I don't do any social media either. There's just 'X' amount of time I'm willing to spend on the interweb.

I agree with this.  I took a break from the various sites for a while and have recently dived back in.  Other than B&B, which still seems to be the "gateway drug" and gets references on other hobbyist or interest sites, I feel like the others are similar but have their own perspectives.  I like perusing all of them.
