That doesn't make any sense to me (I don't mean what you said but that it would happen). I'd assumed the previous report was with reference to having two brushes in the same cart at the same time. You are saying you weren't able to go back and place another brush in your cart after purchasing the first one. FWIW, several customers were able to buy two brushes in the last release, just none as part of the same order. But that's almost always the way it works.

Your current understanding is correct. I'm on Mac OSX v10.11.6 using Firefox browser v52.0 if that helps the folks at Shopify.

You were blocked from placing two brushes in your cart at the same time, or from putting a second brush in your cart after completing purchase of a first brush? Just want to make sure I have it straight.

I was blocked from putting a second brush into my cart after successfully buying one brush.

Actually I would favor a "one brush limit".  Gives more people a chance.  If the 5 minute hold in basket would happen, an eBay re-seller could add multiple brushes. The demand for Paladin burshes is very strong and should not impact sales.

I agree.  I would be more apt to give release a try if I though I could actually put a brush in my cart and make an educated decision instead of just shot-gunning a brush that I may not like.

I'm not sure I follow this. It seems to imply that buyers checking out with more than one brush at a time contributes significantly to the issues we've been having. It does not. In fact, it hardly ever happens. As to 5-minute hold, as previously posted, Shopify made a change to the process on its side (without bringing it to out attention in advance) that eliminated time-limited reservation in check-out. We're trying to get that restored, but it will take some time.

In any case, we absolutely don't want "just shot-gunning" brushes they might not like. That runs completely counter to what we're about.

With regard to the online shop, we're doing the best we can.

I just checked, and since November 6 of last year, when we started putting up all brushes to be included in a release in advance, thus making all brushes available at the same time, only two orders have included two brushes (none has exceeded two), and both of those were in the November 6 release of 81 brushes (which is more than twice as many as the average size of releases since November 6). Just to be clear, there have been more two multiple purchases from a release since November 6, but the rest were made up of separate orders for individual brushes.

This isn't to say stuffing shopping carts could not become a problem. But it hasn't been one yet. The two Cobalt Falstaffs that cropped up on eBay a couple weeks back were purchased in two separate orders under two different names in the first minute of a release (in fact, they were the first two completed transactions).

Had my first shave with this brush this evening. It was great!
The soap was Le Pere Lucien's Oud Santal.
The tips on this brush are very soft, with just the slightest hint of scritch that I know will go away after a few uses. The backbone was terrific. And the flow through was great. This brush is not a lather hog at all. The splay was just about perfect.
I bowl lather, then apply, then work into my face with a few minutes of face lathering. This procedure gives me ample opportunity to check out every facet of a brush's performance. This brush performed admirably.
And as I already mentioned, not a trace of wet dog new knot funk.
All in all a fantastic brush. Highly recommended.

Yes it is, but that's not me, that's David Gilmour. That pic was taken in Colmar, France in 1974.

Figured it wasn't you, just wondered if you were a player based on the choice.

Nah, I don't play a strat, but I listen to them every chance I get!  Wink
