I have to echo Steelman and bijou: the Funf fan knot brush is simply outstanding.  As Steelman noted this brush has more backbone than the 4125 fan knots that I have previously owned and sold, and as bijou alluded to the density is also also different and does not splay like 4125 fans (in my experience).  Though all other Thaters in my den are bulbs, if I am honest, I think this Funf fan is my favorite Thater brush of all time....

Exceptional job, Phil!     Thumbup

Could someone please post pictures of the brush after it's been used, so we can see the bloom?

Looking forward to your brush's bloom, Michael but I did snap this for comparison, particularly as compared to my Thater 4125 Fan.  I couldn't say it any better than Michael, Steelman and bijou - this LE fan is a fantastic brush.  My 4125 is the only Thater I kept and does splay a little but its density doesn't allow too much.  Still, the LE fan is just right - high density, a bit lower and more of a hybrid than the 4125.  Perfect.  Cool

Thank you Billy.  That comparison picture is helpful.  Any other bloom pictures would be appreciated.

Ricardo, are you on the fence with regard to buying the LE fan?

I am Billy.

I have the bulb version and am very pleased with it.  I have a strong preference for bulb knots, with my only fans being Simpson Manchurians and Shavemac D01 2-bands.  Those two hair types have so much scrub and backbone that I find they are optimal in a fan.  My issues with other fans are that they don't have as much backbone as I prefer, and bloom more than I prefer.  However, this LE may address those issues.  The 55mm loft on the bulb has been reduced to 52mm on the fan, which will add a bit more backbone.  The pictures show that the knot does not bloom too much.  The commentary from the guys indicates that this brush may behave more to my liking than other fans.

That's the long answer to your question.

When I used it this morning my mind was recollecting the Rooney two-bands from years back, though I think the Rooney had more scrub.

Michael, thanks for your nice comparison picture.  From what you and Billy posted, it's clear these brushes make a great LE pair.
