Wolfman, hands down without question. Fit, finish, quality, performance..... you name it. Hell of a wait but it will be worth every penny.

I have many vintage open comb razors. Maybe even too many Wink My hands-down favourite is a vintage, "All Metal" Wardonia, circa 1938.

I posted about it some time ago: here's the link:

Failing that, the Gillette #15 open comb (good luck finding one... but also look out for the "Popular" which has the same head). Gillette Old Types also shave very well.

I have not used a Wolfman OC so I can't weigh in on that and also don't know what your budget is , but Timeless also makes a damn fine OC and the stainless Ikon Deluxe OC is also very nice .

If you want to consider modern, I really love my Above the Tie open comb. Many combinations to choose from.

Above The Tie S2......Wolfman's are the bomb, but you'll either wait 2 years on the list or pay $500 plus off eBay. ATT S2 can be in your hands by the end of the week, and it's an amazing shave... Definitely in my top 3 razors.

If you're ok with vintage, then a Gillette New, either long or short comb. They're great shavers and rather easy to come by at reasonable prices.

Haven't used too many modern OC razors but vintage Gillette NEW or NEW Deluxe (a bit more aggressive) are excellent with modern blades.  Good luck...so many choices!

I haven't used any modern open comb razors.  I've used the Gillette New Long Comb and found it too mild for me (but a beautiful razor) as well as the Fatip.  I quite like the Fatip.  It is pretty aggressive, just below an R41 (2013) but gives a very enjoyable shave.  The only thing with the Fatip is that it doesn't use typical thread sizing for the post so it doesn't marry well with other handles.  I solved this by using a top plate from a DE89 with the bottom plate from the Fatip and added a Weber handle.  Really depends on if you are looking for aggressive, mild or somewhere in between.

Good luck!

I would say you cant go wrong with(in no particular order):
-Gillette NEW in all configurations.
-Wolfman Razor (very hard to get so buy something else while you wait)
-ATT OCs
-Tradere OC 1st Gen (even harder to get than a Wolfman since not in production any longer)

If I had to recommend a single razor that is just awesome and most wont deny it is just awesome, it would be a Gillette NEW Deluxe.

While when it comes to the standard bar my favorite razor is the BlackBird, the Wolfman rules in the OC universe!
