Can anyone recommend a favourite scuttle mug to use.  I have a regular mug now, and, would prefer warmer lather, I think.  Or, at least a taller mug, to go with my new, longer brush.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

Thank you, in advance.

Well I just so happen to be the experienced user of many a scuttle talked about on this forum and I would like to chime in. I started with the moss small scuttle 10 years ago, then sold it for a large moss scuttle so I could lather in it. Then I saw the dirty bird brush scuttle. Sold the large moss and bought it. Then I saw the g20 from Georgetown pottery and thought here is my answer. It's now present day and I have sold all of them because I have yet to find a warm brush I liked as much as the small moss scuttle. So because I cannot lather really in it, I just bought a lather bowl from Doug brown pottery to lather in and now am waiting for my original scuttle to be delivered. Lesson I learned. You can either have a Luke warm lather in a big scuttle or have a pretty warm brush (which is where most of the lather should be) in a small bowl scuttle just big enough for the brush. Hope this helps if not its entertaining.

Please look at the folks on Etsy.  They tend to be smaller but make very nice pottery.  I have a Doug Smith which I enjoy.

I have a Mega Scuttle from Steve Woodhead ceramics and it's fantastic if you like a big bow for lathering. Not that often I warm lather but I always use to bowl lather with
