Just received my order. I highly recommend this soap. Great lather, has it all slickness, cushion and post shave. As good or better than any soap out there. Elena was wonderful to deal with.

Which scents did you finally opt for?

Fig & Vanilla is my favourite of the four I've tried, so far.

I used the sample of Geranium, Rosemary and Clove, this morning, and a very interesting scent, it is. This is the fifth scent that Elena has made and has just gone on sale, this week.

When I received this sample, three days ago, from the small plastic pot I couldn't really detect any scent. Possibly, a slight floral note, but that was all.
This morning, I pressed the soap down in to a larger container for my shave. Immediately, the scent intensified. I couldn't detect any clove, but, again, a slight floral component was there, together with a very noticeable rosemary. I must confess that at this point I was not in love with the scent, however, this soap is a perfect example for not making an immediate judgement. Once lathered, the floral component becomes very apparent, the rosemary still obvious, but, still, I could barely detect any clove. This is in total contrast to Fauno, where clove is prominent. I've now had the container left uncovered for drying for nearly three hours and, interestingly, the clove component has become very prominent.

This is a scent that definitely needs lathering to be enjoyed to the full. My initial impressions were unfavourable in unused, dry state, but I couldn't have imagined how much the scent would change through use. It is a beautiful scent; just please don't judge it from the tin.

The only thing keeping me from checking out this soap is the scent selection. None are really up my alley. I would like the Geranium, Rosemary, and Clove but I am sensitive to clove (as I imagine most people are).

Thanks for the suggestion but those are not my preferences in notes.
If it wasn't for the fig note in PdP 63, I would love that soap... but with it, I don't care for it at all.
Vanilla isn't really for me either.
Combining the two notes doesn't resolve my issue.
Certainly ymmv though!!

Coco is delicious, Jose. You'll love it. Almost good enough to eat! Biggrin

I had my name down for the Lemon (sounds delightful, too), but since I already own Lemon scent in Manuel's tallow, I decided not to proceed.

I thought about opening a new thread but with this one being fairly recent, I just may throw my two cents in here Wink . Today I got a tin of "Hierbabuena-Mango-Lima" and a sample of "Fauno", along with a few others of her regular bath soaps that I had ordered for my ladies, and one for myself, needless to say Biggrin . I have admittedly leaned towards tallow based soaps and somehow forsaken veggie based soaps, the reason being that I found less protection in them, as a general rule, than in their tallow based counterparts. But there are exceptions to any rule. So far, it was with the Eufros Premium that this exception applied, but I might have found another one with these soaps from Elena. It was the "Fauno" that I used today because the weather in my town didn't make the mentholated too appealing. The scent develops when lathered and the clove becomes more prominent. Actually, I prefer how it smells when dry, for the orange and lavender are not overpowered by the clove. Some guys say it's like a mild type of Bay Rum, which I can't confirm as I don't own any of those... yet.

Performance has been great right from its very first use. A perfectly usable lather was obtained after a minute and a half (give or take) of face lathering with a Plisson L'Occitane brush, but insisting just another minute and dipping the tips of the brush in water created a dense layer of foam on my face. As good as it can get, gents, honestly. I found it slick and protective, and even though I have to try it further before reaching any final conclusions, I have a feeling that this soap is a winner.
