Well guys, I am Puerto Rican.  Really proud of it.  Who do you think will win the World Baseball Classic?

Yes, they will play it out later tonight in California.  The USA will have home field advantage. PR has only 3.5 million habitants.  USA has 350 million.  Baseball was invented in Cooperstown, NY, some say. All positives for USA.

The only positive for undefeated PR is the fact that PR is the only team to beat the USA in the tournament.  That and the fact that their starter is going to be the same one that PR scored 4 runs without an out in the first inning in their previous match.  Imagine, six hits, no outs, first inning. 4-0.

Baseball is the most popular sport in Puerto Rico.  Like soccer in the rest of the world.  And of course its THE american pastime.  No way to compare.  We will have fun.

What do you say???

As an American it's hard to root against Puerto Rico. They play with a ton of joy and swagger; them and the DR are almost single-handedly making this WBC the most unforgettable yet.

What I love about this year (and years past) is the spread of MLB stars with their native country teams.  Still, I'm very biased to the US and some of my favorite players.  Though a native Texan, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years and "adopted" the Giants - Brandon Crawford and Buster Posey are in focus. Should be good!

damm right!  the DR had a great squad and a ton of bad luck.  but that is baseball...!!!

its a shame the major league baseball teams don't allow everybody to play.  it would be great to see a USA team with its BEST players.  not that the ones they have are not great.  you know what i mean!

in the other hand, PR is inspired and undefeated.  and the fact that strotman (opening for USA) was eligible to play for PR and chose not to, give our guys yet another reason to hustle like it is a matter of life and death!

hope the umpires call it clean!

Yeah, proud of my team but I would have liked a closer game as they are always more fun.  That's baseball - if they played again today, the score might be reversed!
