Hi,
Just got the razorpit and of course I have a few questions:
1. What is the best practice to use it (what kind of lubrication you using) - I'd like to use just for cartridge when I am traveling.
2. Are you start using with the new cartridge or you just wait and maybe after 3 shave for example?
3. Do have your own trick that help you maintain better and longer lasting result?

Thanks,
Rob

1. I use it on carts and use Gillette shave foam for grinding it on to the surface. The surface needs to be dry before you put foam on it.

2. I don't use it on carts out of the pack. May be after 9-10 shaves when the blade starts getting little dull, I put razorpit to use.

3. Just 7-8 strops in the opposite direction of shaving to clean off the scum etc.

I think all these instructions are perhaps mentioned on their box. It's worth every cent.

I use regular shaving foam for it.
I start using it after circa 3-4 shaves. I thumb strop my carts before, during and after my first shave and continue with this. Add the razorpitt after 3-4 shaves as said.

I do 8-10 strops. The more used the cart gets, the more strops I do.

Last night I used shave soap and did a few strops and on my cartridge I saw a little improvement. I will experiment more.
Thanks for all your input.

I use mine after about 3/4 shaves and I lubricate it with lather I put on my face.  I am not convinced, however, that it does a better job than stropping the cartridge on the back of my forearm.

Any "stropping" of carts only affects the exposed side. I know, obvious... With this limitation does it really extend cartridge life by a noticeable amount?

YES,

before I finger stropped/razor pit stropped my Fusion carts, I got 5-6 comfortable shaves.

Now I get 20-30 comfortabel shaves from the same Fusion cart.

Yes. Exposed side is what one uses for shaving. When it gets dull, pulling n tugging starts.

Razorpit increases the life span of a cart by 2.5x. YMMV ofcourse.
