So finally had an evening to do some clean up work. I don't go too crazy but made sure that I got rid of almost all the imperfection. Some scratches but still left with a mirror finish.

This weekend will be honing them. If I can't, then they will be sent out.

NOS Ern 5/8 Straight
C-Mon Blackie with original scales
CV Heljestrand MK 31 in Ivory
CV Heljestrand MK 29 in Ivory

I feel like they photograph better than I thought. Smile

If interested, I used 100 grit sandpaper for the heavy duty then went to 320, 600, 1000, 1500, 2500 progression. Then polished with Maas.

Here are the before pics. eBay pics not mine.

Those cleaned up nicely.  However, honing that C-Mon could be a challenge.

Thanks guys.  The C-Mon is being sent out.  I don't have the skills to handle that one.  The others are on the queue to get some work done. Smile

They all look good Tom, the C-Mon's edge looks a tad rough and would require a tad more work but nothing to awful bad.

I agree that the Blackie will require more work Tom, but it should be doable. I would start with a 400 Atoma to get the major work accomplished, then go from there as normal.
